About the FPRP
Friends of Peterborough Recreation is a nonprofit organization that supports recreational programs, community initiatives, and public spaces that contribute to the vitality of Peterborough.
Working in partnership with local volunteers, organizations, and the Recreation Department, we help advance projects that expand recreational opportunities, encourage community participation, and strengthen connections among residents.
As community needs evolve, Friends of Peterborough Recreation provides support through fundraising, partnerships, and volunteer engagement to help bring communt projects to fruition.
Community Projects
Friends of Peterborough Recreation supports projects that enhance public recreation and community life.
Current projects include the Our Town Dog Park initiative, a community-led effort to establish a dedicated dog park serving Peterborough and the surrounding region, and the completed renovation of the Peterborough Community Center.
By bringing together community support, grant funding, and volunteer leadership, these projects create lasting resources that benefit residents for years to come.
